රතු ඩේලියා මල.......
විකසිතව ඉරිතැලුණු පොළොව මත;

හාත්පස සොඳුරු කර;
දුක් සුසුම් නොහෙළාම;
මිලින විය නිහඬවම,
ඡණ්ඩ හිරු රශ්මි වැද...............

උදෑසනක හිරු කිරණක උණුසුම විඳිමී...
ජීවිතයේ උදාගිරට යළි අත පොවමී..
වියැකී ගිය හසරැළි යලි පුබුදා ගනිමී...
ගිලිහුනු උණු කඳුළක් ගැන තව දුක් නොවෙමී.....

හසරැල්ලේ කඳුලැල්ලේ පරතෙර දුටිමී...
සැනසිල්ලේ මිටියාවත යළි හැර නොයමී..

සත්සර මිහිරි,
මනරම් බව දනිමි ඉඳුරම;
මවිත වෙමි දහස් වර,
එවන් මධු සත්ස්වරම;
මවනු දැක ගී අනුවේදනීය........
